At least Moyes has done 10 things right!!!

With 3 games remaining in Barclays Primier League and knockout in the Champions League, David Moyes position as the Red Devils is in doubt. Some negative and positive impact during his brief season, but we share his 10 things that at least he has got it right.

The emergence of Adnan Januzaj

Google Image

Ferguson has got it wrong about Pogba to loan him to Juventus but at least he has secured Januzaj when the team needed him the most. Right?

Rooney is still a United player

Google Image

For some reason, Rooney is actually destined to be in Chelsea in the last summer. But Moyes has fought back and convinced Rooney with 300,000 pound/week and captain armband.

He bought Juan Mata

The Reds is now have a new icon. Signing him from Chelsea is quite an achievement for the team and the fans absolutely.

Shinji Kagawa finally found his feet in United

Google Image

Kagawa shows slow start in the early season. But somehow Moyes managed to found a way to get the best from Kagawa and it will throw up some serious selection dilemmas for him next season

Where is Anderson?

Google Image

Moyes did what Ferguson should do years ago to shipped underachieving Anderson out. More are sure to follow.

Making Welbek matter again

Google Image

From only 2 goals last season and 10 goals this time around, Moyes really has developed Welbek scoring skills.

Sink or swim for Smalling and Jones

Google Image

Moyes has decided to let Smalling and Jones to replace Vidic and Ferdinand after Vidic is on his way to Milan this summer and Ferdinand is shown his door out.

Problem Solving

Google Image

Ferguson did a good job in covering the deficiency between left back and center midfield position by bringing Scholes from his retirement. Moyes has spent half of the summer to get one center midfielder, but Alcantara, Fabregas and Herrera have thier own ides. Who has thought that Fellaini was a good option?

The Man who followed Fergie

Not only he has take the impposible job in United, but Moyes has done it with reverence, keeping the club's principles in place and remaining dignified despite United's dire situation.

Leaving an Everton Legacy

It shouldn't Martinez to get all the credit for Everton's points this season, but we must at least agreed that Moyes has left them in a good shape when he departed for Old Trafford.

Liverpool Vs Manchester City Preview

Liverpool Vs Manchester City Preview

Google Image
Both teams are attack-minded and high-scoring with exciting forward players, and both have weaknesses in defence, despite City's recent improvement at the back.

So the battle for control of the game in midfield will be vital at Anfield, particularly how each team tries to protect their back four.

For Manchester City, Fernandinho is seen as their main defensive midfielder, but there is much more to his game than that.

His energy will be vital for Manuel Pellegrini's men, not just when it comes down to winning the ball back from Liverpool, but also in turning defence into attack.

I sometimes hear people describe Fernandinho as being an anchor man in the mould of former Chelsea star Claude Makelele, because they think Yaya Toure is the City midfielder who gets forward.

But in fact Fernandinho and Toure work in tandem as a pair of box-to-box players. They have got a great partnership because they share defensive and attacking responsibilities in City's usual 4-2-3-1 formation.

It is Toure who grabs the headlines because of his rampaging runs but Fernandinho is an unsung hero for City because of the energy he brings to their team, his mobility, and the amount of work he puts in.

Defensively, Fernandinho covers a lot of ground when City do not have possession and puts the most pressure on the ball. If you add up interceptions and tackles, he has won it back more than any other City player this season.

So i pick City will win 2-0.

12 April 2014:62 days to go

Argentina’s Guillermo Stabile, who scored in the first FIFA World Cup Final in 1930, died at the age of 61 in December 1966.

Google Image
Stabile was handed his international debut at those inaugural finals in Uruguay and made an immediate and spectacular impact, scoring a hat-trick in a 6-3 thrashing of Mexico and adding five more goals to become the World Cup’s first Golden Boot winner.

Bizarrely, though, he never played for his country again, and ended his glorious, four-match Albiceleste career with a goalscoring ratio of two-per-game.
